Young whale sharks gather off Al-Lith in spring, as the researchers who tagged them there reported (Berumen et al., PLOS ONE, 2014). The shark carries the spots of Andrew Smith’s 1849 plate.
The print
Heavy ring-spun cotton, 207 g/m², dyed after sewing, so it comes soft and a little lived-in. Printed big on the back, about 30 cm wide, in one ink: a dark ink on light colours, a pale one on dark colours.
